Review: Reaper’s Property (Reapers MC #1) by Joanna Wylde

Reaper’s Property (Reapers MC #1)

by Joanna Wylde

Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.

This is how Horse is.

My thoughts (Theo~): This book will make you get right back into your bed until you’ve had enough, but then you discover is the ending.

Marie is a sweet girl, broken, beaten and left alone. Her ex-husband beat her and now she feels like she is not worth a damn for anyone. That is when she decides to go back to her brother trailer and stay there until she will be able to be back on her feet. With a mother in prison and a brother that loves her, but smokes too much pot she is almost doomed to understand that she cannot escape from the bad-boy, dark-biker that shows up at her trailer.

Horse is not sweet. He is dark, bad, and ready to kill type of guy. He drives his motorbike as if it is his first born and will be ready to take your head off in just about a second. He is hard and not someone you wish to get attached to. He can prove you how bad he can be, just let him be there for about five minutes.

When things get rough for Jeff – Marie’s brother – she can no longer save him from the pointing gun. He is dead. Or has to be. But his story is not about to be finished, that is when her sister shows up and says the dumbest thing ever: “I will do anything to help him.”

I would have had said the same. Blood is blood no matter what and when you family is in danger; you do not care about what might happen to you as long as they get to live. Jeff gets in trouble with the Reapers for skimming money from them and losing them at the casino. He is a bad player and he loses about 50.000 $ before he can even count them. But he is a valuable asset, yet as valuable as he is, he still stole from the Reapers and only one payment can be done: his life.

But Marie has to help him. Has to do something, and that is when Horse lets his fucked up heart to lead him and make a proposal to her: they are leaving her brother alive if she stays as his ‘sweet butt’. Nothing fancy, but ‘sweet buts’ are like whores for bikers. They fuck them and leave them and they still come back for more. But Horse does not want only to fuck her, even though he states that in the first five minutes of meeting her, no Sire, he wants to keep her as his ‘old lady’.

But Marie is still strong and a woman and we do have our rights after all. She struggles, but finally she gives in.

I did not enjoy the roughness of some actions, but this book is about rough, dark, hard sex and nothing more. This book is for those who accept and not blink.

I’ve enjoyed her connection and her loyalty to her family. Her willingness to do everything that is right to make everything be good again.

I recommend this book to those of you ready to breath and not throw with your books at me, because ladies, you are going to beat the shit out of Horse at some point.

Happy readying everyone!
