…………………………………………………………….
My thoughts (Theo): This is the book you were looking for if you were just trying to find a
way or another to relax yourself and just escape for three hours or so. This is
a book that will make you laugh, will make you roll your eyes or just punch one
or two characters in the face. It is an interesting readying and I hope
everyone will take some time to just relax and enjoy some quality time with
some characters you’ve never read before.
Tina is your
normal clothes seller that also owns the boutique. She is an incredibly easy
person to understand and someone who will make you laugh just because you got
to read about her. She is not complicated, nor someone who wants the moon and
probably to own the universe. She just wants people to buy the clothes and accessories
that she is selling and to get along with everyone. But she has a small secret
that she does not want to remember about. His
name shall not be mentioned, but he did destroy her in a way that she does
not think that she will ever be able to recover. But she is still dreaming.
Nik or Nikolai Leokov [loved this name so
much, I wish the author would have had used it more often] is a strong man,
someone ready to share a smile but only with his family. He owns a night club
and he is really proud about it. He also has a lot of brothers, and two sisters
and a niece. Every single day he gets in front of his club and smokes one cigarette,
then takes other two same breaks. This is how Tina sees him and wants to make
him smile at least once.
So she does something really
interesting. She puts someone to give him a gift from here. She sends it
anonymously and it’s nothing else but candies and a note saying that he should
be smiling more often. So he does smile when he sees that note supposed to be anonymously.
He soon finds out about Tina and invited her over. Not gentlemanly of course. And
when he is just about to refuse her ‘proposal’ of being more he finds himself
in front of Tina saying that she wants to be just friends.
He is so surprised about it, that he
almost thinks that he got her wrong. But he does not. She just wants to be
friends. And they do become friends, but with time he finds himself more and
more aroused by her presence. He does not think about her as only a friend
would. He finds himself friend-zoned and really bothered about it.
Their relationship will evolve, but
as always bad things do not want to wait so a lot of stupid things get on the
front.
I loved the action of this book so
much that I was always surprising myself laughing over some things that Tina or
Nik said, or about some situations that were truly hilarious. I loved the
burning sensations that he was getting and the way she was concealing her own
intentions. I’ve also loved CeeCee.
I recommend this book to anyone
ready to smile a lot and enjoy some good after-noon while readying this and
sipping from their cup of tea or coffee.
Happy readying everyone!
