Thank you to the author for letting me read and review this book!
I have had received an e-copy of this book in exchange of a honest review.
My thoughts (Theo):

This book is not about you or your feelings, this book is about Ashlyn, about that lost girl that needed to protect her town, that even though was not sure she will make it, her family that left an open wound once with her leave and her friends.

Even though life is not fair, she finds herself in front of this challenge that is way bigger than her, but she must prevent anything bad from happening to her and her life must remain intact. She wants to be the only one alive and ready to retrieve the statue and come home in one piece, but that will be possible only if she can manage to survive the demons and the dark creatures that are trying to kill her for being the Chosen One.

Being on a hunting trip one day before her departure she gets attacked by the mayor’s son and gets rescued by some stranger – a ,mercenary nevertheless – Zane. He saves her and offers her his comfort. That day she decided that a sooner departure will be necessary. After the ceremony of receiving silver gifts from the town and your family she decides to leave, but Zane finds out and decides to accompany her earlier than planned.

She gets a soft spot for the young, ruthless ,mercenary and she is more than confused when the Elders employ Zane for eight golden coins to accompany her on her trip. He was not interested at first, but one look at her and he was mesmerized by her red hair and powerful aura. They end up leaving together, but this is just the beginning, everything will change from now on.

They will no longer fight only for the show, they both have to make decisions, hard ones, and their newly discovered passion for each other is not helping. Where do you put that her pet is an wolf? An wolf that understands whatever you are saying and is keeping you warm at night and fighting for you?

Will they survive? Will they find the statue?

I recommend the book and I hope everyone has an amazing read! Happy reading everyone!
